DIPLOMA IN CHILDREN’S SERVICES
I’m Sara and I am the Director here at Tenison Place Early Learning & Kinder. I completed my Diploma in Children Services 2 years ago, an achievement after humble beginnings as I started my childcare career at this service 7 years ago as an educator assisting in the Toddler Room & Nursery. Professionally, I am passionate about children having fun, being creative and decision makers in their own learning. I feel every child achievements should be celebrated and shared however big or small. I enjoy watching the friendships between the children and the different personalities blossoming. Every day is a good day when we get to make play dough, learn songs and engage with so many little ones. My downtime (if there is such a thing for a mum) is spent with my family and friends, mostly outdoors. I’m blessed to have a young daughter who loves all things from soft toys and drawing to footy and athletics. My son is a big soccer fan, but has a sensitive side and enjoys baking and relaxing watching movies. I’m lucky! I really enjoy my job. The days are never the same and I see so much fun and enthusiasm in the children’s learning and exploration, it’s just great to be a part of.
GRADUATE DIPLOMA IN EARLY CHILDHOOD EDUCATION AND CARE
Hi, my name is Belinda and I am the qualified preschool teacher here at Tenison Place. I studied Junior Primary/Primary Education at UniSA for 4 years then did a further 1 year Graduate Diploma in Early Childhood Education and Care at Murdoch University. I love working with children because it is very rewarding getting to watch and have a part in helping them grow and develop and I also enjoy being around their energy, curiosity and eagerness to learn. I get a real sense of joy and pride watching the children learn new skills and grow and mature over the year. I am passionate about helping each individual child reach their full potential and grow into confident and happy people. Outside of work I enjoy going to the gym and watching the footy with my family.
